Caroline Watson - Associate

Caroline Watson graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston in Texas with a B.A. in political science and minors in business administration and Russian studies.

Ms. Watson received her Juris Doctor degree with honors from the George Washington University Law School in May 2015. While attending law school in Washington, D.C., she was a member of The George Washington International Law Review and was a semi-finalist in the 2015 Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court, an international law student competition held annually in Frankfurt, Germany.

She served as a legal intern with the Commercial and Administrative Law Division as well as the Office of Acquisition Management, Suspension and Debarment Division, of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, before joining Mark Barnes & Associates as a law clerk in March 2014. She enjoyed working with the firm as a law clerk for over two years, and then in 2016 she was awarded a yearlong international professional fellowship to study Russian business language and conduct an internship with a U.S. law firm in Moscow, Russia. Upon completion of the fellowship abroad, she rejoined Mark Barnes & Associates as an Associate Attorney in May 2017. She comes from a family with a strong hunting and shooting tradition, and enjoys both on her family’s ranch in her native Texas.

Ms. Watson is a member of the Virginia State Bar and pending admission to the District of Columbia Bar. Her practice is limited to federal agencies only, and primarily focuses on regulatory compliance matters concerning the firearm and defense industries.
